{"id":35,"date":"2014-11-12T05:31:21","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T05:31:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.1stchoice-formations.co.uk\/blog\/?p=35"},"modified":"2022-08-04T06:33:26","modified_gmt":"2022-08-04T06:33:26","slug":"registered-office-sail-and-statutory-records-10-facts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.1stchoice-formations.co.uk\/blog\/registered-office-sail-and-statutory-records-10-facts\/","title":{"rendered":"Registered Office, SAIL and Statutory Records-10 facts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"dsd\">\n<ul class=\"number\">\n<li>Limited Companies (LTDs) and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) are obliged to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stchoice-formations.co.uk\/blog\/the-statutory-records-you-must-make-publicly-available\/\" title=\"The Statutory records you must make publicly available.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Statutory Records<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Statutory Records must be available for the public to inspect.<\/li>\n<li>A company will, normally, keep its records at its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stchoice-formations.co.uk\/blog\/10-facts-about-registered-offices\/\" title=\"10 facts about Registered Offices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Registered Office<\/a>.  However, it is also permitted to keep its records at a SAIL (Single Alternative Inspection Location)<\/li>\n<li>A SAIL must be located in the same jurisdiction in which a company is registered i.e. England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland<\/li>\n<li>A company is permitted to split the location of its records between a Registered Office and a SAIL<\/li>\n<li>A company\u2019s records must be made available for inspection for a minimum of 2 hours per working day.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone wishing to inspect a company\u2019s records must give notice of at least 2 working days.<\/li>\n<li>A Limited Liability Company choosing to use a SAIL must notify Companies House using form AD02. A Limited Liability Partnership must use LLAD02<\/li>\n<li>Forms AD03 and LLAD03 are used to advise Companies House of which of the Statutory Records a company will keep at its SAIL.<\/li>\n<li>Forms AD04 and LLAD04 are used to advise the Registrar of Companies of any relocation of records from the SAIL to the Registered Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Limited Companies (LTDs) and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) are obliged to keep Statutory Records.
