However, the new address must be within the existing jurisdiction of the company or partnership. You cannot, for instance, change a company\u2019s registered office from Edinburgh to London. There are three ways to register the change at Companies House.<\/p>\n<div class=\"dsd\">\n<ul class=\"number\">\n<li>If you have your company\u2019s or partnership\u2019s web authentication code:\n<ul class=\"uldisc\">\n<li>Log onto the Companies House Website and follow the instructions to change your company\u2019s registered office, or<\/li>\n<li>Use the free online company administration portal we will give you after you have placed your order with us. Log into your portal and use the import button to import your company. Then edit the Registered Office details. The change will register at Companies House instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you do not have your company\u2019s web authentication code you will need to submit form <a href=\"http:\/\/www.companieshouse.gov.uk\/forms\/generalForms\/AD01_change_of_registered_office_address.pdf\" title=\"Change of registered office address\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AD01<\/a>. If you are a Limited Liability Partnership, you will need to submit form <a href=\"http:\/\/www.companieshouse.gov.uk\/forms\/generalForms\/LL_AD01_change_of_registered_office_address_of_a_limited_liability_partnership.pdf\" title=\"Change of registered office address of LLP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LLAD01<\/a>. The change will take about one week to register.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Once you have registered the change of address with Companies House, you will need to change your stationery and communications.
