From 18 November 2025, new Companies House rules require all company directors and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs) to verify their identity before a company can be formed or updated. This reform aims to increase transparency and prevent fraud on the UK register.
As a licensed Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), 1st Choice Formations is approved to carry out these checks and provide the official Companies House Personal Verification Code, confirming an individual's verified identity. Existing directors and PSCs must also be verified by the time their company’s next confirmation statement is filed, or (for PSCs) within 14 days of any notifiable change after 18 November 2025.
